Eleven More Solyndras Americans Have Rejected the Obama Economy
I am the son of immigrants. My family left a regime that did not encourage the economic freedoms of its citizens. We have to keep the United States the "shining city on a hill" as stated by Reagan. I am part of the Reagan Coalition. |
Share Progress for Colorado Bill to Reduce Illegal Alien Tuition1/27/12 Senate Bill 15 is a bill in the Colorado legislature that would create a third payment tier for education. There are already two tiers of tuition: in-state and out-of-state but this bill creates the "illegal immigrant". It will not reduce their tuition to the same level as in-state students but it will still be lower than out of state students. On Thursday, it passed committee. All Democrats voted in favor while all the Republicans voted against. And it is expected to pass the state Senate. So we shall see what happens going forward. ShareGlobal Warming Skeptics Have Big Crowds in Portland1/27/12 Scott Learn from the Oregonian reported on a presentation by global warming skeptics in Portland that drew huge crowds. More than 400 people jammed into a Portland hotel ballroom Wednesday night to hear a panel of global warming skeptics assert that manmade increases in greenhouse gases are not driving climate change. ShareObama's Quotes About Islam1/27/12 According to Pew Research, 12% of Americans believe Obama is a Muslim. That was a poll conducted in March 2009 so it may have dropped since then. But that is still 1-in-8 adults. That is a surprisingly high number for a man that self describes himself as Christian and attends church.
I have not seen evidence to suggest he is a Muslim aside from a picture of him in some ethnic garb. But here are some quotes Obama has had about the religion. ShareWho is Saul Alinsky?1/27/12 Newt Gingrich keeps comparing Obama to Saul Alinsky but who is Saul Alinsky? So I looked for some information gathered from Wikipedia.
Saul Alinsky and Barack Obama were both community organizers in Chicago. Alinsky was pretty much devoid from being religious. Though he grew up Jewish, he admits that he shyed away from it. Though he'd identify himself as being a Jew, he did not exactly live such a life. This draws comparisons to Obama in some ways. He is accused of not saying "Merry Christmas" or at the end of speeches not saying "God Bless America". ShareCNN Debate Asks Dumb Questions1/26/12 Yet another night the liberal media protects Obama. The Republican debate tonight on CNN focused on issues like semantics of wordings used in campaigns and a base on the moon. Michelle Malkin had made a great twitter post.
Obama is Thin Skinned Says Brewer1/26/12 Share Investors Do Not Care For Obama's SOTU1/26/12 The Dow Jones may be up today but as The Motley Fool points out, "about half of the index's components are in the red today, with a particularly heavy anchor being thrown out by AT&T". The reason the DJIA is above water is due to the fact that Caterpillar is up 2.7% on strong earnings and a good projection for 2012. The SOTU did not do much to help investors. Obama Aides Owe Almost a Million in Back Taxes1/26/12 Found this fantastic article in the Investor's Business Daily that I had to share with you guys. It was written by Andrew Malcolm titled "36 Obama aides owe $833,000 in back taxes". I guess you cannot fault him for what his aides do with respect to their taxes...
Malcolm humorously calls the President, "Mr. Fair Share" haha. More revealing than just the aides that owe money, federal employees as a whole are also delinquent. ShareObama Immigration Gaffe and No Outrage?1/26/12 I wrote about the Kesler Dufrene story a couple of days ago and have to admit that I am quite outraged this has not become more of an issue.
The left is stuck in a fantasyland infatuation with Obama because of his State of the Union Speech. But let us not forget that an immigration policy gaffe has led to the death of three people! In case you are not already aware of the story, here is a recap. Kesler Dufrene was committed of two felonies and was ordered by a judge to be deported. After the earthquake in Haiti, Obama halted all deportations to Haiti. But the caveat of a Supreme Court decision made it illegal to detain an illegal immigrant for more than five years -- thereby releasing Dufrene back into the general population. My feeling is that Dufrene's criminal background should have made his deportation mandatory regardless of the situation over there. Some would argue that it is not compassionate to release an individual into a hostile country.. but by being a criminal he has made it clear he does not care about us -- why should we care about him. ShareBest Delivered SOTU I Have Ever Seen1/25/12 I came across this video by Peter Schiff of 'The Schiff Report'. His SOTU was fantastic but it was 14 minutes long. So let me give you the best parts of it.
SCHIFF: Well last night the President delivered the traditional State of the Union. This is his last one before the 2012 Elections and certainly the Union that he was describing was not the United States -- at least not the realistic version. Maybe the fantasy that lives somwhere in the President's mind. For his hour long speech, he barely even touched on the real threats plaguing our nation. Did he talk about the debt? Nooo! What did the President talk about?
Obama and Arizona Governor Face Off1/25/12
I never knew what to make of those accounts because they could just be partisan. But breaking news story out of USA Today, Obama gets in a tense exchange with Governor Brewer of Arizona about the way she portrayed him in his book. "He was a little disturbed about my book, Scorpions for Breakfast," Brewer told reporters travelling with Obama. "I said to him that I have all the respect in the world for the office of the president. The book is what the book is. I asked him if he read the book. He said he read the excerpt. " ShareObama's Fascination with Clean Energy1/25/12 "Some technologies don't pan out; some companies fail. But I will not walk away from the promise of clean energy," Obama at State of the Union Speech 2012. A slew of clean energy companies are struggling to the point that they may end up in the same position as Evergreen (went bankrupt this week) or Solyndra. Obama said that his administration would open more than 75 percent of the offshore oil and gas resources for development. But that does not jive with his actions as Dick Morris clearly laid out on Twitter. Morris: You haven't given a permit for offshore drilling since BP spill. Who do you think you are kidding? Develop all energy souces how about coal? This is so disingenuoius with his veto of the Keystone pipeline. ShareRomney Advisor Says No Repeal of Obamacare1/25/12
Erick Erickson of RedState.com has released an article entitled "Romney Advisor: No Obamacare Repeal". Who is the Romney advisor? Norm Coleman. ShareHerman Cain Delivers Tea Party Response to SOTU1/25/12 Mitch Daniels delivered the GOP response to the SOTU but he was less than exciting. Though what he had to say was right, the delivery seemed weak and meager in that lonely looking room that he was in. Rand Paul also put together a response that was posted online. But it was Herman Cain delivering a response for the Tea Party Express, I believe, that delivered the best response. Obama Likely To Ignore Georgia Judge Subpoena1/25/12 We reported a few days ago that a judge in Georgia had order Barack Obama to personally appear in court and produce documentation proving his eligibility to be President -- or else he will not be on the Democratic primary ballot. ShareDick Morris Live Tweets During SOTU1/24/12 Transcript of the State of the Union speech by Obama: Let's remember how we got here. Long before the recession, jobs and manufacturing began leaving our shores. Technology made businesses more efficient, but also made some jobs obsolete. Folks at the top saw their incomes rise like never before, but most hardworking Americans struggled with costs that were growing, paychecks that weren't, and personal debt that kept piling up. ShareObama Will Not Be Running on His Record in 20121/24/12
On CBS This Morning today, the reporter asks "When you look at what has happened. Can the American people look at 4 years from the Obama administration and say we're better off and we're prepared to have this election a referendum on President Obama's performance rather than a referendum on our promises that we are making on the State of the Union". He does not answer. ShareBREAKING: Evergreen Energy, Another Solyndra, Files for Bankruptcy1/24/12
This is not to be confused with Evergreen Solar which ALSO has financial problems after getting government guaranteed loans. This is horrible news for the Obama administration just hours before he gives his State of the Union address to the nation. Evergreen Energy is not as big a scandal as Solyndra which received over $500 million in government loan guarantees... but speaks volumes. How many companies were the American people forced to invest in? What were the real motives for investing in those companies.. were they political? Economic? ShareColorado is Trying to Lower College Tuition for Illegal Immigrants1/24/12
According to the article: This is the sixth time state lawmakers have tried to make college more affordable to illegal immigrants, who don't qualify for the less-expensive in-state tuition. Out-of-state tuition can be up to five times higher, and supporters said that's an obstacle many college-bound illegal immigrants raised in the U.S. can't overcome. ShareTea Party Does Not Like Mitt Romney1/24/12
Among the voters that said they were looking for a "True Conservative" in South Carolina, Mitt Romney only received 2% of the vote. Among Tea Party supporters Gingrich beat Romney 43% to 26%. South California, State 511/23/12
Since South California would undoubtedly become Republican, Democrats would not be so willing to approve this. Jeff Stone is a Riverside County Supervisor that is pushing for this to be a part of the November ballot in California. They have launched the website CaliforniaRebellion2012.com. ShareKesler Dufrene Kills 3 After Deportation Halted by Obama Administration1/23/12
Deportations to Haiti were halted following the earthquake that devastated Haiti. But instead of keeping him until the situation in Haiti settled down, they released him. Mobile phone tracking technology and a rifle linked Dufrene to the murders but when detectives came after him 18-days later, he killed himself. The mother of one of the victims is very upset. "This guy shouldn't have been in America," said Audrey Hansack, 37 ... after the murder of her daughter Ashley Chow. "I'm so upset with the whole situation. Because of immigration, my daughter is not alive." ShareMinimum Wage More Disposable Income than $60K Job1/23/12
But I was shocked to know that a minimum wage earner can get more in benefits and tax breaks than a 60K a year worker! ShareTier 3 EPA Proposal Could Increase Gas Prices by 25 Cents1/22/12
Judge Orders Obama to Appear in Court1/22/12 According to the Washington Post: For Obama to be on Georgia's March presidential primary ballot, he has to appear in court and prove that he is eligible to be president. This is in response to a complaint that was filed in Atlanta saying Obama is not a natural born-citizen and therefore ineligble (source). A subpoena has been issued for Obama to appear in court January 26. One of the president's lawyers tried to squash that but to no avail. The judge will not budge. ShareObama Wants to Create Jobs Without Congress1/22/12 I applaud Obama for putting the focus on jobs but read carefully what he says. When "Obama Says He's Working to Create Jobs Without Congress's Help", he is trying to say a few things:
Despite having low approval ratings himself, Obama knows the Congress has historically low approval ratings. Some polls say Congress has a 9% rating, others say 13%. Never in our history of polling has Congressional approval rating been so low. Obama is going to make this a battle with Congress. Doing so, he can hide behind his record. No Catholic Exemption for Contraceptions from Obama1/21/12 From FoxNews: In an election-year decision certain to disappoint religious conservatives, the Obama administration announced Friday that church-affiliated institutions will get only one additional year to meet a new rule to cover birth control free of charge. Washington Post Ombudsman Admits Liberal Bias Favoring Obama1/21/12 In his own words, Patrick B. Pexton admitted that the Washington Post has not critically covered Barack Obama. No Jobs? Small Businesses Blame Obamacare1/20/12 The US Chamber of Commerce recently conducted a poll of small businesses and found that 74% of them say the new health care law is an impediment to hiring. That doesn't mean they aren't hiring but that they don't feel as free to do so. Perhaps more businesses could have been hiring had the law not been passed. Obama Wants to Close 1600 Deportation Cases1/20/12 In the latest attempt by the Obama administration to encourage illegal immigration, Obama's administration has recommended that 1600 deportation cases be closed in Denver and Baltimore. This represents about 1 in every 7 cases. More specifically, it represents 1 in 6 in Denver. Fast and Furious Subpoena Issued1/20/12 Thought nobody was investigating Fast and Furious? Think again. Congressman Darrel Issa of California has issued a subpoena to Patrick Cunningham because he has refused to testify to this date. He will be expected to testify before the House Oversights Committee on January 24, 2012. Car Company Builds in Finland After US Loan1/19/12 So a $529 million loan was given to an electric car company called Fisker but has yet to create a single job here in the United States -- but plenty in Finland. Government Outsources to Brazil Not US1/19/12 If this contract was awarded to Hawker Beechcraft, they say they could have created '1400 jobs at 181 companies in 39 states'. But by awarding the contract to Embraer, only 50 jobs will be created in the US. The House Votes Against a Debt Ceiling Increase1/19/12 How will the country perceive the job Obama is doing if he vetoes the will of the people on this issue? Probably not very good if we, as Conservatives, can tie the massive debt to scandals like Eleven Solyndras or a poor job market.Obama Defends Solyndra in First Ad1/19/12 On the Youtube channel BarackObamadotcom, Obama defends his record on clean energy including Solyndra. Watching this video you'd think we were in a thriving economy. But that is not true. The video is insulting to any red blooded American. Obama in One Word: IncompetentThe Pew Research Center asked adults nationwide for one single word they would use to describe Obama. Here are the highlights.
Obama Going Against Jobs When We Need Them Most1/18/12 The economy has been stagnant Obama's entire term... But instead of allowing the free market to work -- Obama puts the environmentalists ahead of everybody else. How small a faction in the US are these environmentalists? Seriously. And why do they have so much control over policy decisions being made in Washington? What the United States does with respect to the environment pales in comparison to what China and India are doing. And those countries are expected to get worse at a 10% clip. Reporting on Obama's Plans to Share Defense Secrets1/18/12 I was very disturbed by Dick Morris' video post today -- He titled it "Obama Gives Defense Secrets to our Enemies!".
