I am the son of immigrants. My family left a regime that did not encourage the economic freedoms of its citizens. We have to keep the United States the "shining city on a hill" as stated by Reagan. I am part of the Reagan Coalition. Some of the pictures from this site comes from: donkeyhotey |
Share Trickle Up Versus Trickle Down9/6/11 Trickle Down Economics is the theory that the environment should be favorable to those at the top so that prosperity will trickle down to the masses. On C-Span, I just heard Debbie Wasserman Schultz saying she believes in "Trickle Up" economics. Trickle Up Economics is the biggest economic scam ever perpetrated by the Democrats. How can prosperity be created by the poor? Do they have available capital to open up a factory? A restaurant? A corner store? No. Their prosperity can only come from one of two sources a) an employer or b) the government. Option A is the definition of Trickle Down Economics because wealth is transferred from an employer to the poor. So therefore the only possible way for Trickle Up Economics to work would be for the government to give the poor a handout. These handouts come in various forms today, including but not limited to:
In order for those handouts to exist, the Government has to extract money through taxes from successful sectors of the economy. Hardly sounds like a winning economic theory, does it? We would rather the poor get jobs and be employed by someone wealthy. Therefore, option A (trickle down economics) is the only policy we ought to follow. The opinions herein are not supported by any community or organization. It is just the personal opinions of a blogger. But that is what allows me to be a loose cannon for the truth. I will be updating this site daily with what goes on in the world of politics and the economy.
