Share Swing States Disagree With Obama on Key Issues
Let us sum up the controversial aspects of what the Obama administration has done with respect to immigration, health care, offshore drilling, and the budget.
And on these issues, Obama is at odds with every single swing state where there were polls I could find. Let's start with Florida: According to a May 2011 Quinnipiac poll, 61% support increasing the amount of offshore oil and natural gas drilling. In October 2010, Ipsos found that Floridians favored repealing the health care law by an 18% margin. Quinnipiac also found 56% disapproved of the health care law, 35% approved. Missouri Mason Dixon found that 61% of Missouri voters opposed the health care law signed by Obama. 69% would support Missouri passing a law similar to Arizona's immigration law. Nevada Mason Dixon in September 2010 found that Nevada voters believe immigrants are taking jobs from citizens by a 23% margin versus taking jobs citizens wouldn't take. They would also support an amendment to the constitution to deny automatic birthright citizenship to children of illegals by a 28% margin. In August 2010, Mason Dixon found that voters opposed the health care law by a 14% margin. North Carolina North Carolina adults favored their state's legislature challenging the individual mandate in the health care law by an 11% margin. Ohio / Pennsylvania In September 2010, Quinnipiac polled likely voters and found that 65% and 59% disaproved of the health care law in Ohio and Pennsylvania, respectively. Virginia In December 2010, a majority of Virginia adults favored their state's lawsuit against the health care law. Conclusion President Obama and his administration are at odds with the American people on key issues such as the economy, offshore drilling, immigration, and health care. Republicans just need to run an issue oriented campaign all over the country and in doing so, should be able to take back the White House and win the Senate.
