Why Liberalism Doesn't Help The Communities They Represent

Liberals will tell you they care about minorities. They are the ones that invoke race into every political subject they speak of. That's why they get the Black vote, the Hispanic vote, the Woman vote, and to some extent the Asian vote. But what help have the Democrats really done for the black community? 16.7% unemployment in the black community. That is ridiculous. They have no record of success.

Anti-Discriminatory Lawsuits - Making it illegal to discriminate on the basis of race seems like a no-brainer on paper. But that's fantasy. The reality is anti discimintory lawsuits make hiring minorities a liability. If you hire a caucasian male, there's no penalty if you were forced to let him go after six months because he did not work out. The same is not true when hiring an African-American (AA) male. That makes it a liability to hire AAs. So instead of taking chances on AAs, it is more profitable for the employer to look over the AA to avoid a potential lawsuit in the future.

Welfare, Food Stamps, Low Income Housing - Helping people in need sounds great on paper. It works on an ideological and philosophical level based in fantasy. But it does not work practically. All of these programs reward failure and punish success. What sense does it make someone to take a full time job at Walmart for $10 an hour = $20K a year when they are eligible for far more in government assistend benefits without working?

Suppression of Investment in Black Communities - The more the government taxes and regulates businesses, the less money they have to take risk in low income areas. If there was money to be made by opening up a Walmart in Compton and excess money available for investment, they would do it but taxes and regulations screw that up quite well.

English - We all know that the best way to learn a language is immersion. Yet Liberals always fight for the opposite. They spend millions (could it be billions?) of dollars in failed programs like ESL. They are also extorting cash out of the American people by printing all documents in Spanish in addition to English. What about Chinese, Vietnamese, Tagalog, Hindi, Arabic? Are we to print all documents in these languages as well? I have better luck speaking English in countries like Malaysia and India than in some of the communities in THIS country. The rest of the world has embraced English as the default Worldwide language. Liberals have not figured that out.
