Obama Defends Solyndra in First Ad1/19/12 On the Youtube channel BarackObamadotcom, Obama defends his record on clean energy including Solyndra.
At the 0:06 mark, it says Solyndra Attack Ad "not tethered to facts". In doing so, he defends his record on Solyndra. And at the 15 second mark, he claims to have created 2.7 million clean-energy American jobs that are "expanding rapidly". They end the video by saying Obama kept his promise of "strengthening America's energy economy".
I don't know how and where they come up with the 3 million figure. They say the Brookings Institute. But I would bet that they counted all of the Solyndra jobs and the eleven other Solyndra companies that they created. But where are those jobs now? Gone. The Whitehouse says this advertisement is meant to "educate Americans about Obama's strong record on Energy". Ummm. No. I think they are just trying to rewrite history.
