I am the son of immigrants. My family left a regime that did not encourage the economic freedoms of its citizens. We have to keep the United States the "shining city on a hill" as stated by Reagan. I am part of the Reagan Coalition. Some of the pictures from this site comes from: donkeyhotey |
Share Who is Saul Alinsky?1/27/12 Newt Gingrich keeps comparing Obama to Saul Alinsky but who is Saul Alinsky? So I looked for some information gathered from Wikipedia.
Similar Jobs Saul Alinsky and Barack Obama were both community organizers in Chicago. They both believed in mobilizing the youth, the poor, the blacks up against the rest... i.e. class warfare. Similary Religiousity Alinsky was pretty much devoid from being religious. Though he grew up Jewish, he admits that he shyed away from it. He said he'd identify himself as being Jewish but rarely lived such a life. This draws comparisons to Obama in some ways. Obama is accused of not saying "Merry Christmas" or at the end of speeches not saying "God Bless America" as other Christians might. Here is another quote by Obama demonstrating his non-religiousity. One of the great strengths of the United States is... we have a very large Christian population - we do not consider ourselves a Christian nation or a Jewish nation or a Muslim nation. We consider ourselves a nation of citizens who are bound by ideals and a set of values. Similar Leftist Leanings Saul Alinsky did not not go as far as to call himself socialist but he called himself part of the non-socialist leftt. Obama has been accused of being socialist for saying things like: "I think when you spread the wealth around it's good for everybody.". Obama's father and some of his family members back in Kenya are socialist. The opinions herein are not supported by any community or organization. It is just the personal opinions of a blogger. But that is what allows me to be a loose cannon for the truth. I will be updating this site daily with what goes on in the world of politics and the economy.
