Defend Michael Behenna

Army Ranger 1st Lieutenant Michael Behenna was sentenced to 25 years in prison on March 20, 2009. His 25 year sentence has since been dropped down to 15 years. His crime? He shot and killed a KNOWN Al Qaeda member.

The man he killed was Ali Mansur, a member of an Al Qaeda cell believed to be involved in organizing an attack on Lt. Behenna's platoon. Two US soldiers were killed.

While Lt. Behenna was questioning Mansur, Mansur went for his gun. In self-defense, Lt. Behenna shot and killed Mansur.

His advocates and parents put together a website called "DefendMichael.com", and they had this to say:

To sacrifice the life of this Oklahoma soldier over the death of a known terrorist, is a breach of faith with all who are serving our country. Please stand with us and demand justice for this American hero!!! He fought for you; now please fight for him!
