NBC Admits They Released A 'Skewed' Poll That Shows Huge Obama Lead

NBC News poll has Obama up by 6 points, 49% to 43%, in a poll conducted from July 18 to 22nd. Their last poll had it in a statistical dead heat.

Chuck Todd admits the poll they released this week was skewed in favor of Obama and that the race was statistically unchanged.

"Our sample was a little Democratic heavy and so statistically it is unchanged from last month. Because if it was weighted with the same split we had last month, the President's lead would be identical... No change."

But if they knew their poll was skewed, why did they release it? Why didn't they fix their skew? Why are they protecting Obama by making him look better than he really is?
